Pallet extensions - space optimisation and load security
In modern intralogistics pallet extensions have a strategic function. They allow the vertical storage of non-standard goods (so-called difficult-to-stack), which would be crushed without steel protection. Thanks to the use of centring corners, our systems enable safe stacking in an arrangement of 1+3 (one pallet on the floor, three on it), which allows full use of the hall's volume while maintaining safety standards. EN 15635.
Key operational parameters of metal extensions:
- Reducing the cost of reverse logistics: The folding design allows for a reduction in the transport volume of empty packaging in relation to the 1:4. This means that as many as a dozen complex units fit on a single Europallet in return transport.
- Elimination of stretch film: The rigid steel mesh and mechanical closure (gate/clapper) permanently protect small parts and automotive components, eliminating the cost of purchasing and disposing of film.
- Compatibility with automatic lines: As a manufacturer, we guarantee dimensional repeatability. Our pallet collars do not generate errors on roller conveyor sensors or AGV systems.

Pallet collars are accessories that make it possible to raise the height of standard pallets, providing additional storage space. They are made of steel and are easily assembled and disassembled.
How does the pallet extension work?
The pallet extension works by being placed on the base of the pallet, creating “walls” around goods. This enables Efficient vertical storage of goods, increasing the load capacity of pallets and improving the organisation of storage space.
What is the difference between 50 and 100 mesh extensions?
The difference between 50×50 and 100×100 mesh extensions relates mainly to the thickness of the mesh. Mesh 50×50 has smaller meshes, which makes it better for storage smaller objects, which may require more support. In turn, the grid 100×100 has larger meshes, which provides better spaciousness and is ideal for storing larger loads.
In which industries are pallet extensions used?
Pallet extensions are used in many industries, such as logistics, automotive, food industry or e-commerce. They help to optimise storage space, protect goods and manage loads more easily.
Can mesh pallet extensions be used in high bay racking?
Yes, our extensions are designed not to exceed the outline of a EURO pallet, allowing them to be stored safely on racking crossheads without the risk of jamming.
What is the maximum load for stacking?
It depends on the model, but standard Dajano extensions carry a static load allowing the creation of a column of up to 3000-4000 kg (total stack weight). We recommend consulting with our technical department to select the appropriate profile.
Do you fulfil orders for extensions with non-standard base dimensions?
Yes. Although the standard is 1200×800 (EPAL) and 1200×1000 (Industrial), we implement implementations for chemical pallets (CP) and specific customer internal dimensions.
